Alexander, Miller & Associates will not be affected by new CFPB regulations
September 16, 2016
Recently the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has recommended new regulation proposals. If approved, the changes would limit how collectors can contact individuals, enact rules to protect individuals fictitious debts, and lastly Increase compliance costs. CFPB proposed these new regulations with the idea that it will give more protection for small businesses and individuals. Many other debt collection agencies view these newly proposed regulations as a hinderance to the way they currently pursue and collect debts from individuals. The precedent has been set for these proposed changes by an earlier recommendation from the CFPB in where they recommended changes to payday lending.
Many in the debt collection business have raised concerns about how this will restrict their current business operations and moreover feel these new regulations will cause them to go out of business.
This is not a concern for because we specialize in large balance commercial collections...

Building Materials Executive Recruiter James Aiken Shares Secrets of Retaining Top-Performing Millennials.
September 15, 2016
Common "Solutions" To Retaining Millennials:
- Increase compensation
- Give them newer tech (cell, laptop, etc..)
- Let them work remotely
- Tuition reimbursement & training opportunities
- Increase company social events
- Avoid requiring overtime
There's a lot of different options on how to address chronic millennial turnover in a certain position. I've come to realize that all of the above solutions are actually just added bonuses - you shouldn't focus on implementing one of these as a solution until making some other changes first. Often times turnover isn't an operations problem, it's a recruiting problem.
The way you lower your turnover is first understanding WHO you are recruiting. It's crazy, some managers will complain that they can't retain someone in a certain position past a year but they never ask the candidate/employee...

Release of The Gate: The Burning Sword of Fire by M.B. Bardouché
September 20, 2016
M.B. Bardouché has just released a new novel, The Gate: The Burning Sword of Fire—an action drama with historical relevance. The book was published by Outskirts Press and is now being rereleased by Ingram Sparks.
The novel tackles the meaning behind the Bible’s Book of Revelation through dynamic and sympathetic characters traveling across Europe and into Africa. This heart-warming yet chilling book allows the reader to scrutinize the history and prophecies behind the Catholic Church, and of the powerful and seemingly immune Vatican II.
In The Gate, Vincent, a monk, and Demaskis, a demon, are polarized characters that although in opposition, share a common goal: allocation of souls and retribution of the flesh.
The visions began gradually, slowly increasing into brutal attacks, leaving Vincent ravaged physically and spiritually. Images from the Book of Revelation are shown to the young monk, who is called to interpret...
Investing in Western New York Real Estate Offers Profit and Financial Stability
September 13, 2016
The Western New York housing market leads the nation. Earlier this year, The Washington Post named Buffalo, New York as one of the hottest markets in the country. The area is affordable and sustainable, and increased demands for housing has made the region ideal for savvy real estate investors to earn sizeable returns on their initial investments. Most notably, neighborhoods like Elmwood Village have experienced a 100% increase in residential housing prices since 2004, and most experts agree there's plenty of room for growth.
Nobody is more excited by the progress that Rochester, Buffalo, and surrounding areas in Western New York have made in being recognized as a Premier area for real estate investment than former Key Bank executive and NREIGRP founder, Michael Harrington.
"With the recent upswing in calls for both Residential and Commercial Real Estate in Buffalo, Rochester, Amherst, and Niagara Falls, more people are interested in learning how to...
